For years I couldn’t figure it out. I was running on little to no sleep, then using caffeine, exercise, and constant stimulus to get through the day. It worked short-term, but it took a toll—my baseline kept slipping even when I “did the right things.”
What finally clicked was that I’d been treating my health like Whack-A-Mole: cut back caffeine, but the anxiety stayed; clean up diet, but the exhaustion remained. I’d been trying to fix symptoms in isolation. Sleep, mood, and energy aren’t separate boxes—they’re connected, like a row of dominoes. When sleep goes unstable, everything downstream gets harder to control.
When the first one falls, the rest follow.
